One Republic

Nicole had tickets to the ReAL game this Saturday which was awesome because not only did we get to see ReAL play but One Republic had a concert right after the game!  We invited Spencer and Taylor to come with us.

Little did Spencer know that there we a whole lot of people gathering at his house for his surprise party while we were at the game.  

Pretty sure he was surprised because when his mom sent him in the other room to "get something" he opened the door and yelled $#!T when everyone yelled surprise.  

We danced, we ate, and we laughed and had fun.

Paragliding

It has been awhile since I have done something stupid so this Saturday Nicole, Spencer and I took paragliding lessons.

Lindsey Miss Josh

Josh (Nicole's younger brother) who I have adopted as my little brother, left on his mission this Wednesday.

He was going to be ordained as an Elder on Tuesday night, so I went over on Monday to see him before he was set apart.  It was really hard knowing that it would be the last time that I would get to hug him for two years.  Josh was so sweet.  I started to cry and he wiped away my tears, gave me a kiss on the forehead and started to sing to me part of "Stay With Me" by Josh Gracin.  

On Tuesday night, after he got set apart Nick, Shawn, and I went to visit him for the last time.  We decided to bring a pinata.  It was a bittersweet night.  

(One of the things I will miss most about Josh is is hugs. He will never let you leave without giving him a "proper goodbye". )

"You wouldn't leave without giving me a proper goodbye would you?" 

It was so hard not being able to give Josh a proper goodbye.  Leaving with a handshake when everyone else go to hug him tore my heart out. 

I will miss him SO much.  We would always have so much fun together and do random things

  Josh has a special spot in my heart.  He is one of the most Christlike people I know and has a way of making you feel like a million bucks when you are with him.

I am jealous that the people of Argentina get him for two years, they are so lucky.  I am so proud of him and  I know that Josh will do great things as Elder Skousen.  

Everybodys lookin for love

It was fun to be 'that' girl who goes wild over the onstage talent.  Saturday the girls and I went to the Jason Derulo concert.

Normally this is not a concert that I would go to but Cameron was opening so we decided to go.  I was so glad that we went for multiple reasons.

Jason ripped off his shirt and threw it into the crowd.

Pretty sure the guy behind us beat off all the girls and snatched up the shirt.

 During the concert Jason came over to where we were standing and held our hands.  I have never been at just the right spot at a concert to do that.  Don't ask me how but somehow with him being literally right in front of me I still couldn't get a good picture.  Although I did get one good one.

Baby Talmage

Baby Talmage and Me.  He is just perfect.

It's amazing that something so small can make your heart so big. 

Ames had her baby this week and I was lucky enough to visit her in the hospital.  Ames mom (who I just love) happened to be there as well.  It was the perfect afternoon and I left feeling like everything was right with the world. I think babies are sent to bring our lives back into focus and remind of us what is really important, and baby Talmage did just that.

Seriously.

We have all gone in different directions but it was nice to get together for Quinns wedding even though some of us were missing.  It was such a fun night!

Skousen Family Reunion

Last time the Skousens went on vacation I left them a strongly worded video telling them of my feelings...

I think to avoid getting another video, the Skousens invited me to their family reunion.
 I felt right at home.  

So much so that I went skinny dipping in the lake with the cousins.
