Skousen Family Reunion

Last time the Skousens went on vacation I left them a strongly worded video telling them of my feelings...

They watched it on vacation...

I think to avoid getting another video, the Skousens invited me to their family reunion.
 I felt right at home.  

So much so that I went skinny dipping in the lake with the cousins.

Days of '47 Rodeo

I experienced my first real Rodeo on Tuesday thanks to my Singles Ward.

Pudding, Underwear, Convertible

I never thought that I would be able to say that I have driven home in a convertible, in my underwear, covered in pudding, but Nicole and I did just that on Saturday night.  

(I also never thought I would use those three words in the same sentence)

After watching fireworks at Draper Days with these girls...

we met up with these girls + one boy...to fling pudding at each other

We decided to do a pudding pyramid.  Jasmine, Me, Cole, Matt, Brook, Linze, Maryna

I do not know why Jasmines hand is on my thigh...

I love these girls!

It was so much fun and now I know that getting pudding flung in your eye is not the best but, getting pudding flung in your mouth is delightful.  After we had tons of fun we tried to wash ourselves off in the sprinklers...COLD.  That didn't work out so well so Nicole and I decided that the best option would be to take our clothes off, so we did just that.  I am just glad that we didn't get pulled over or get in an accident. Although,  I guess it would have been a great story for our funerals had we crashed that night.

FLASH MOB!!!

I can check another one off the bucket list because this Saturday Eden, Linzie, Tottie and I were in a flash mob.  It was pretty much the coolest thing ever.  We danced to Beyonces song Move Your Body at Taylorsville Dayzz with several hundred other people.  I am sure there are a billion terrible pictures/videos floating around of me and my bad dance moves because everyone had their cameras and cell phones out taking pictures. awkward.  In fact I cam across a video on youtube...

After the flash mob we decided to go to the drive in movies but not before taking this nerdy super man picture.

 When my brother saw this picture he asked if I was going as a KKK member with Friar Tuck as my sidekick. Tottie told him to go harass someone else like Trey Thompson aka Ty Pennington from Extreme Makeover.  Extreme Makeover is doing a house in my brothers neighborhood and my brother was set on harassing Ty for keeping him up at all hours of the night with all the building that is going on.  The only problem is that my brother can never remember his name and keeps calling him names like Chad Pennington, Tad Pendelton, or Trey Thompson.  Anyways heres the conversation, I couldn't stop laughing.

My Quarter Life Crisis

Dear Lindsey:

Thank you for your cooking. I love you. I liked to be with you. Thank you for helping me tie my shoe yesterday.

I liked to do the computers and paint.

(What is your favorite thing about Lindsey?)
My favorite thing about Lindsey is hugging her.

Hannah: "Mom, I want to give Lindsey this potato because she likes to cook and she like potatoes. She can wash it, smell it, taste it, eat it, and dry it after it is wet. She can cook it but she does not have enough potatoes. She likes kids and she likes me. She does not want makeup Mom because she wants a potato! I love her."

This was a letter that I received (along with a potato)  from a 4 year old that I taught.  I have been with Alta High Preschool since 2005 and have loved every minute of it.  This year was my last year because I am looking for a "grown up" job that I can get full time and benefits with, thus the reason for my quarter life crisis.  Here are a few things that I am going to miss about my job...

Doing random things like making log cabins out of easy cheese and pretzels

I love these girls!  They were so sweet, they would leave me  post-it notes on my desk everyday saying that I'm perfect...

...and draw pictures on the white board.

 The girls ran out trying to beat each other to hug me and the door shut behind us and locked us all out.

I am going to miss my Preschoolers!

While I am more terrified than ever to find my spot in this world, I am excited for the new adventures that are to come...
